ETMC’s Cancer Institute practices a multidisciplinary approach to treating cancer, where our physicians meet to discuss each patient’s individual case and care plan.

In addition to our dedicated staff of medical professionals, ETMC’s Cancer Institute has access to some of the most advanced cancer treatment technologies in East Texas. We are the only facility in the region with the CyberKnife Stereotactic Radiosurgery System, a revolutionary treatment for tumors that may have been considered inoperable or untreatable. It allows for sub-millimeter accuracy in targeting tumors and is a noninvasive, outpatient procedure.

Additionally, ETMC is approved to conduct clinical trials, so cancer patients can benefit from some of the newest treatments.
A highly experienced staff brings quality to the ETMC cancer program. The medical oncologists and radiation oncologists have excellent credentials, including, in some cases, board certification in two or more specialty areas.
